What We Do

We See the Whole Person

Our therapeutic approach is designed to give us a full-perspective view of the whole person by fostering a collaborative assessment between our team and the individual. It also allows us to better position young adults to fulfill their potential and achieve lasting wellness, since they are fully woven into the process.

Rather than a traditional assessment where psychological tests are administered by the professional and the data collected is compared to an aggregated standard of normal, our therapeutic-assessment method incorporates individual and group-therapy settings. Through this model, we can create an interactive environment that empowers young adults by engaging them as active participants in their assessments. With this therapeutic structure in place, individuals have the freedom to make positive, healthy choices and lay the groundwork for identifying and reinforcing their foundational values for living.

By building trust and promoting communication through this collaborative-style assessment, we are better able to help young people understand the cause of their issues. This gives them a sense of control over their lives, as well as the treatment they’ll need to grow and flourish.

Focus and Clarity

From physical and developmental to psychological and behavioral, many young adults come to us with compounded mental-health and medical conditions that have gone undiagnosed. The direct correlation between these issues most often produces a continuous cycle of cause-and-effect that keeps them from achieving lasting well-being.

The collaborative patient-caregiver foundation of our therapeutic assessment approach gives us the ability to make these connections and determine the level of function, impairment and challenges that must be addressed. From there, we can make treatment recommendations that align these systems and maximize the journey to well-being. Our diverse team of highly skilled professionals specializes in identifying and treating a wide range of complex issues, including:

  • Mood disorder, depression and bipolar disorder

  • Anxiety and panic disorders, OCD and social anxiety

  • Executive functioning issues

Coeur Assessments and Screening

Using a unified combination of one-on-one and group-treatment settings, we immediately begin our collaborative evaluation in a gender-affirmative, nurturing environment that includes screening for the following:

  • Cognitive measures

  • Achievement

  • Personality measures

  • Autism spectrum

  • Depression

  • Education/vocation

  • Family systems

  • PTSD

  • Risk

  • ADHD

  • Memory

  • Nutrition

  • Medical screen

  • Psychiatric

Working closely with our residents and their families, we develop goals and adapt structure to align mental-health therapeutic-assessment measures in a way that responds to both growth and struggle through the completion of our cross-disciplinary report.

Assessment Report

Once the assessments and screenings above have been completed, our team gathers in a round-table session to develop and recommend an optimized treatment plan. This detailed framework provides diagnoses of multiple systems, including physical, developmental, psychological and behavioral. Our report also identifies potential obstacles that may emerge throughout the treatment process, as well as tactics and strategies to overcome them.

By proactively addressing every dimension of our residents through active collaboration, we can more effectively set the stage for strengthening self-concept.
